National Heroes to Receive 1 Million Manats a Month
In order to strengthen social protection of National Heroes of Azerbaijan monthly pension they raised to 1 million manat (previously 600 manat).
According to the Decree of the President of the country, this will come into effect on September 1 , the same amount will be paid to the families of the victims and heroes who demonstrated examples of selfless valor and patriotism unprecedented in the struggle for independence, territorial integrity and progress of the Azerbaijan Republic.
The Cabinet of Ministers tasked to resolve issues arising from this decree.
The title of National Hero of Azerbaijan was established July 15, 1992. In the country, according to recent data, there are 213 National Heroes. Of these, 181 people were awarded posthumously.
The first 11 Heroes were presented to the award June 6, 1992, and the last awarded (posthumously) was Mubariz Ibrahimov - July 22, 2010. - 17D-

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less.
