Bank of Baku Simplified Process of Getting Bolkart by Students
The Bank of Baku has simplified the process of issuing a credit card Bolkart to students of national universities.
As reported in the bank, the students that have a student card, by presenting it as a form of ID, can register Bolkart with a balance of 500 manats.
For example, students who have a residence permit in areas where there is the branch of the bank (Baku, Sumgait, Khyrdalan, Ganja, Sheki, Lankaran, Khachmaz, and Shirvan) must present a student card and ID card (or a student grade book). Students with registration in areas where the bank branch is not functioning, but the high school is located in a region where the branch of the bank exists, should be presented information on scholarships. In this case, to the category of students who study in the second semester of last year, Bolkart is issued.
At present, about 140,000 citizens of Azerbaijan make purchases with Bolkart. Cardholders can make purchases in all the stores of the country and abroad, and purchase products online. -15D -

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less. This robust reserve position reflects Azerbaijan's fiscal stability and the government’s strategic economic management.
