Need Criterion to Be Upgraded
The criterion need in Azerbaijan, used to determine the amount of targeted social assistance (TSA) is planned to increase from 105 manat to 116 manat in 2017, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said during the discussions on the draft state budget of Azerbaijan in the parliamentary committees.
On Wednesday, the parliamentary committees on defense, security and fight against corruption, economic policy, enterprise and industry, agricultural policy, public unions and religious entities, natural resources, energy and environment started to discuss Azerbaijan's state budget project for 2017.
The Minister noted that the need criterion will be increased due to changes in tariffs on a number of utilities. -----71D

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
