Portal permits last year attended by more than 150 000 entrepreneurs
A single information portal for permits (www.icazeler.gov.az) in 2013 was attended by over 152 000 Internet users.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan, in December alone there were recorded 11 000 visits and in general (since March 2012 ) there were more than 227 000.
The purpose of the website is the removal of administrative barriers to business development , applications of ICT , the creation of advanced information systems, and improving transparency. The site contains all the information concerning the conditions for obtaining licenses and permits for each activity. Information on the site is interesting not only for local, but also for foreign citizens seeking employment.
Potential entrepreneurs through the site have the opportunity to see projects of separate normative documents prepared by government agencies, and to be concerned with the licensing and placement. Drafts of these documents are posted on this site, so entrepreneurs can make their comments and suggestions .
