Siyazan broiler factory became the property of the marine service company
Baku/14.09.10/Turan : The Management Board of Siyazan Broiler announced an AGM in May 2014, which has not been convened for almost 8 years. In September 2010 the company Monolit-D Ltd that provides services to the Navy in the Caspian basin cquired from the state 99.17 % (3,556,666 pieces) of the shares of the broiler company at an investment contest.
An informed source told Turan that the right of ownership over the shares of the broiler factory was transferred to the company as a result of its investment obligations. This information was neither confirmed nor denied by the State Property Committee. The company Monolit-D Ltd also did not comment on this message, referring to the fact that its director and owner Sadeddin Mammadov is on a business trip.
In 2010, Monolit-D Ltd committed before the state to invest in expanding production at JSC Siyazan Broiler 16,230,600 manats in three years. This year, the deadline expired.
Recall that Monolit-D Ltd is the fourth company that captured Siyazan Broiler Factory. The shares of the factory were first purchased at competitions in the latee 1990s separately by Mendor International (Britain ) and Baku Group ( the United States ). The state terminated the contract for purchase and sale of shares with them due to non-fulfillment of commitments. The same fate befell the Lebanese company Ruby Rose Grour SARL in 2006. The company acquired in 2000 by investment tender an 85 % stake in the factory and bought from the minority shareholders a 14.17 % stake. The court deprived the company of those shares on charges of not fulfilling the investment commitments, although Ruby Rose received ownership of the shares by the results of the state audit. The audit confirmed that the investor invested in the enterprise $35 million for the reconstruction.
The authorized capital of JSC Siyazan Broiler is 16.7 million manat. Its shareholders are 75 individuals and entities. The company has five pedigree poultry areas (64 shops), 6 broiler sites (114 shops), a slaughterhouse and a sanitary slaughterhouse, 2 incubator shops, a shop for feed production, storage and other ancillary areas.
The factory was built in 1985 . It employs 1,315 people. The capacity was 12,000 tons of meat and 15 million eggs, which was increased after capital investments. In 2010 alone, there were produced 15,030 tons of meat and 19.1 million eggs.

In recent days, there have been claims that bread prices in Azerbaijan have risen. Social media users report that the price of bread has increased by 5-10 qepiks. According to consumer complaints, it is difficult to find weight information on factory-produced bread, commonly known as "zavod çörəyi" in Azerbaijan. In many cases, bread packaging does not include weight details. Similarly, bread sold at smaller bakeries and tandir houses often lacks information apart from the price.
