TAP selected contractors of construction of several facilities in Italy
The consortium for construction of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) gas signed two Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPA) contracts for construction of the receiving terminal for TAP gas pipeline and a ground section of the pipeline in Italy, reported the consortium.
TAP has signed the contract for construction of the ground section of the gas pipeline in Italy with the joint venture established by Enereco S.p.a. and Max Streicher Sp.a. companies. The length of the section is 8 km and the pipe diameter is 36 inches.
The contract for construction of the receiving terminal, which is the last element connecting TAP with the gas transportation network of the Italian Snam Rete Gas company has been signed with Renco S.p.A. company. The centre for the pipeline control and management will be located on the terminal.
Enereco is the engineering company established in 1988. Max Streicher S.p.a is the Italian branch of Streicher Group.
Italian Renco S.p.A company was established in 1979 to offer a wide range of services, including design and construction of infrastructure for the energy and oil and gas industries as well as civil infrastructure.
TAP will be used to transport natural gas from then Shah Deniz field Phase 2 to the Western Europe via Greece and Albania. The pipeline capacity is 10 billion cub.m. a year with the possibility of expansion up to 20 billion cub.m. a year depending on supply and demand. Azerbaijani gas export via TAP is expected to begin at the end of 2019.
The distribution of shares between the TAP shareholders looks as following: SOCAR (20%), BP (20%), Snam (20%), Fluxys (16%), Enagás (16%) and Axpo (5%).—0--

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
