UN to assist Azerbaijan in the pension reform
The United Nations will assist Azerbaijan in the implementation of the pension reform.
According to the press service of the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF), yesterday there was a meeting with the newly appointed UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Antonius Broek.
The guest got acquainted with the automated control system of the state fund, the work carried out in the personal account. SSPF Chairman Salim Muslimov said that as a result of reforms in Azerbaijan, they formed a unique model of the pension insurance system that combines the important elements of the pension-insurance system today.
He also talked about the future development of the system, based on actuarial calculations in accordance with international standards. H also noted the role of the UN Development Programme (UNDP) in carrying out this insurance reform.
Broek noted significant reforms implemented in Azerbaijan in the field of pensions, and the importance of these reforms for the country. He stressed the importance of successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and UNDP, expressing confidence in the future cooperation. - 17D-
