The group of companies Gilan Holding has acquired a controlling stake in JSC Quba Konserv-1 - once one of the leading fruit and vegetable canning companies in the region. This transaction was preceded by a complete suspension of the plant under the onslaught of giant, for the production of fruit juices is located in Gabala region, also belonging to the aforesaid holding.
The fact of the transaction for sale of 72% shares of Quba Konserv-1 acknowledged their former owner of the Elman Mirzakhanov. A source in the Guba district told Turan that Gilan Holding may plan the production of fruit concentrates on one of the two canneries in Guba. In April 2010, the holding company bought the company Comet-V approximately 94% of the shares of Quba Konserv-2. Both companies are refurbished and are in good condition. According to statistics, in Guba region annually produces about 170 thousand tons of apples.
Having mastered the second in a row canning plant in Guba region, the holding has actually made an ambitious bid for control of the canning market of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN.
