Active dialogue between Baku and Washington continues
Baku/27.12.22/Turan: The United States and Azerbaijan are actively cooperating on energy security, the fight against international crime and terrorism. The US provides significant support to the development of a number of structures in Azerbaijan. This was stated by Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on Tuesday during a press conference on the results of the year.
In recent years, Azerbaijan has become a reliable energy partner for the US and European countries, and Washington has provided significant support in the implementation of energy projects.
An active dialogue is maintained between Baku and Washington. During this year, the US has come up with a number of mediation proposals to restore peace in the region. In particular, 9 telephone conversations were held between the US Secretary of State and the President of Azerbaijan. Numerous visits of US officials to Baku took place, Bayramov said.
He recalled that the US Secretary of State organized a number of meetings with the participation of the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia and came up with a number of initiatives.
In addition, the US National Security Adviser organized meetings of high-ranking representatives of Baku and Yerevan. Bayramov noted that Azerbaijan is determined to develop cooperation with the United States in various areas, and next year contacts between the two countries will become even more intense. ---02D---
