Adviser to Japanese Prime Minister discussed bilateral cooperation in Baku
Baku / 09.03.18 / Turan: Development issues of the Azerbaijani-Japanese relations were discussed at the meeting of Ilham Aliyev with Japanese Prime Minister's foreign policy adviser Tomohiko Taniguchi. Japan attaches special importance to Azerbaijan's role in stability, security and mutual understanding in the Islamic world, Tomohiko Taniguchi said. Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of helping the Japanese banking sector to modernize the infrastructure in Azerbaijan. The sides exchanged views on the implementation of infrastructure projects in Azerbaijan, cooperation in the banking sector, diversification of the economy, agriculture, etc. Today, Taniguchi was received by First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva. According to the official communication, they discussed the issues of cooperation in the energy, humanitarian and cultural spheres. -02D-
