Azerbaijan to open Lachin road for Armenians to leave - Pashinyan
Baku/26.01.23/Turan: Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, speaking at a government meeting on 26 January, revealed Azerbaijan's "plot" against Karabakh Armenians.
"According to the information we have, Baku's plan is as follows: bring the economic and psychological pressure on Nagorno-Karabakh to a climax, then open a corridor for a few days with the expectation that the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh will leave their homes en masse, and do this until the last Armenian leaves Nagorno-Karabakh," he said.
According to Pashinyan, this is not Azerbaijan's only goal. Baku is striving to derail the peace talks process and provoke a new war in the region. He called for greater international efforts to condemn Baku's actions and force it to abandon the blockade of Karabakh Armenians. He also called for an international fact-finding mission to be sent to the Lachin corridor. "We must work consistently in this direction," Pashinyan concluded. -02D-
