Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Answers Serge Sargsyan
«Of course, there should be differences carried out between the state-occupier and aggressor Armenia and Azerbaijan under occupation. In accordance with the UN Charter, the Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan should be given international legal assessment outside of double standards, and the Armenian syndrome of impunity must end," the head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Hikmat Hajiyev told reporters. He was commenting on Sargsyan's statement at a press conference in Yerevan, where the Armenian leader urged the EU to assess the "aggressive actions of Azerbaijan."
"On the eve of the European Games and during them Armenia continued to violate the ceasefire regime on the contact line and along the front line. This country has once again proved that it is far from the civilized values and Olympic ideals. Armenia does not hesitate to take aim even at civilians, including children, and has not ceased to violate the ceasefire during Ramadan, which is a symbol of peace and reconciliation," said the spokesman.
"The dictatorial military criminal regime in Armenia, which brought the country to the humanitarian, political and economic disasters, making provocative actions on the frontline, is actually trying to distract people from the very unsatisfactory domestic situation and keep them at bay. Aggression and occupation committed by Armenia against Azerbaijan is the main threat to peace and security in the region, so all the responsibility in this regard falls on Armenia," said Hajiyev. -02D-
