Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry on results of Brussels meeting between Aliyev and Pashinyan
Baku/07.04.22/Turan: The meeting between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Brussels with the participation of the EU Council President was another important step taken in the interests of Azerbaijan and aimed at ensuring the future development of the region in terms of peace and security. This is said in a statement by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry on the results of the Brussels meeting between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nicolas Pashinyan, mediated by Charles Michel.
During the meeting, they discussed the principles of post-conflict development of the region, including full compliance with the provisions of the trilateral declaration of November 9/10, 2020 and continuation of humanitarian steps to strengthen peace and confidence between the parties.
In particular, an important outcome was the decision to begin developing a peace agreement by the Foreign Ministers of the two countries, based on the principles presented by Baku last month, as well as establish a joint commission on border delimitation and open the railways and roads between the two countries.-06B-

According to a report by Turan correspondent, the discussions took place behind closed doors and lasted for over an hour. No statements were made to the press following the meeting. Furthermore, conference security prevented journalists from asking questions to the meeting participants.
