Conference on Karabakh to be held in Tabriz
In case of war, all the public forces of Iran will support Azerbaijan in the liberation of the occupied territories, stated representatives of the Alliance, "In the name of freedom of Karabakh" at a press conference on the results of their trip to Tabriz. The head of the Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO) Akif Nagi, head of the Islamic Unity for Karabakh, Rovshan Ahmadli, head of veterans of Karabakh Etimad Asadov, the head of the Committee of disabled veterans, Firudin Mammadov, and others spoke about their trip to Iran on June 25-29 at the invitation of the University of Tabriz.
The delegation took part in a seminar on the upcoming International Conference on November 6 at Tabriz University: “The current state of the Karabakh conflict and the mission of the Islamic world.” The delegates also visited the city of Ardabil, where their were received on the official level.
Rovshan Ahmadli noted the need to improve relations between the civil societies of the two countries.
"During the meetings in Iran, our interviewees acknowledged that Armenia is the occupier, and the Iranian society is ready to assist Azerbaijan in the liberation of the occupied territories," he said.
The two sides noted that this aggression is not only against Azerbaijan, but the Islamic world as a whole, said Akif Nagi.
Delegates also stressed that Iran's state shows a serious concern for veterans and war invalids. In Azerbaijan, this concern is only on paper, they stated. -03C-
