D18 Movement Calls on People to Protest against Amendments to Constitution
The civic movement D18 urges citizens to take part in the National Council rally on September 11 and the Musavat rally on September 18.
The appeal b y D18, sent to Turan IA, says the opposition should postpone its internal disagreement and join to oppose amendments to the Constitution in the referendum on September 26.
The authorities refused to register the only campaign group against the adoption of the amendments. ‘The authorities are doing everything to keep the people away from these processes and to hold the referendum in secret. We must break this plot of the authorities.
As long as we remain silent, the problems only deepen and the country is moving towards the abyss,’ the statement says. -16D-
