"The United States is constantly monitoring the situation and looking for ways to resolve conflicts in accordance with international law," the Pentagon representative said.
Referring to the possible deployment of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh, Farkas said: "Russia is a member of the OSCE Minsk Group. If such a plan appears, it will be considered in a transparent manner by all participants of the Minsk Group."
Farkas said that Azerbaijan is a strategic partner of the United States.
On the question from Turan what assistance the United States may have to provide security in the South Caucasus due to the ISIS threat, Farkas said:
"We are working closely with Azerbaijan in the fight against extremism. In addition, we continue to work towards a stable and democratic government in Afghanistan. In addition, in the fight against extremism in the Caucasus, we are cooperating with the Georgian government. We are negotiating with Azerbaijan, considering how and in what form we should increase cooperation with Azerbaijan. We are proud of this collaboration.” -0--
