Freedom Now Calls for the Release of Meydan TV Employees
The human rights organization Freedom Now has joined calls to end the pressure on independent media in Azerbaijan.
"Azerbaijan continues to aggressively target independent journalists. The latest act of repression was the detention of five journalists from Meydan TV on clearly politically motivated grounds. We urge their immediate release and an end to this persecution," reads a post on the organization's account on the X platform.
