From now on, housing for IDPs will be built only on liberated lands - I. Aliyev
Baku / 07.01.21 / Turan: From now on, housing for internally displaced persons will be built only in their native places - in the liberated territories, stated on January 6 at a meeting on the results of 2020 the President Ilham Aliyev.
“After that, no houses for migrants should be built in Baku, Ganja, Mingechevir or Sumgayit. These houses will be built only on the liberated lands, ”Aliyev stressed.
He also noted the need to conduct a survey among IDPs on their desire to return to their homes. “I was informed that 52% of internally displaced persons settled in cities. Many of them are rural residents, but for some reason they were placed in cities. There must be a special program to return them to their homes,” he said.
A survey should be conducted among residents of hostels and other buildings for the purpose of returning, in order to know exactly the mood of people and not to deceive ourselves. “I also ask refugees to be sincere when answering whether they want to return to their homes or not, so that we know the real situation,” Aliyev said.
He expressed confidence that most of the displaced persons would want to return and promised to do whatever was necessary for this.-03D-
