Head of Armenian Security Council accused Moscow of putting pressure on Yerevan
Baku/27.12.22/Turan: Since September 2020, Armenia has turned to Russia for help several times, but received no support. This was stated by the head of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan in an interview with Public TV of Armenia on Monday. In so doing, he called into question the allied relations between Yerevan and Moscow.
He rejected the criticism of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov for Yerevan's refusal to participate in the trilateral meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia. According to him, Yerevan informed the Russian Foreign Ministry in advance that the Armenian Foreign Minister could not come to the meeting due to the tense situation on the Lachin road. However, Lavrov accused Yerevan that Moscow became aware of this from media reports.
Grigoryan also expressed dissatisfaction that Russia is not solving the issue of opening the Lachin road, although it has all the possibilities for this to happen.
Finally, Grigoryan openly stated that Armenia does not plan to join the Russia-Belarus Union State, although "great pressure" is being exerted on Armenia.
When it comes to the situation on the Lachin road, Grigoryan stated that "pressure" is being exerted in Lachin in order to get a corridor from Armenia through Zangezur. -02D-
