Kaladze: From the Azerbaijani gas will not give up
Deputy Prime of Georgia Kakha Kaladze stated again that Georgia intends to continue to cooperate with SOCAR and has no plans to reject the Azerbaijani gas.
"There is a talk about the replacement of Azerbaijan, we are talking about additional volumes that the country needs today," he said. He accused the political opposition of Georgia of an attempt to present his words as Georgia's intention to replace or abandon the gas from Azerbaijan.
" It's a lie. We have been cooperating with Azerbaijan for years, and this cooperation will continue," said Kaladze.
The scandal began after Kaladze said that Azerbaijan is not able to fully meet the needs of Georgia's gas.
After that, the general director of SOCAR Georgia Mahir Mammadov said that Azerbaijan is almost completely satisfies with the needs of Georgia. So, Azerbaijan supplies nearly six million cubic meters of gas to Georgia per day, with consumption of 6.2 million cubic meters.-02D-
