Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will arrive on November 9 on a working visit to Yerevan. The visit will take place at the invitation of Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
As the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry said, Lavrov will be received by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
Following the talks of the foreign ministers of Armenia and the Russian Federation, a press conference will be held.
The theme and agenda of the talks have not been disclosed. However, local observers believe that one of the issues on the focus of attention will be the Karabakh settlement.
Yerevan does not conceal concern that Baku is focusing on Russia's role in resolving the conflict and is criticizing the West. Obvious nervousness in Armenia is also caused by the statements of Azerbaijani officials about the "imminent release of the occupied territories" and Moscow's silence about these warlike statements. -02D-
