Pashazadeh Becomes Member of Supreme Council of World Organization
The Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), Sheikh Allahshukur Pashazadeh has been elected a member of the Supreme Council of the World Organization for Convergence of Islamic Movements.
It happened on November 4-5 during the meeting of this body in Beirut. Pashazadeh was one of 50 members of the Supreme Council, the press service of the CMO told Turan.
In his speech, Sheikh stressed the need for solidarity and unity of the Islamic schools of thought to solve the problems facing the Islamic Ummah.
Sheikh also met with the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berri and held a series of bilateral meetings with heads of delegations of Muslim countries. -05D-
