Markar Yesayan: Senate resolution punishes Ankara for purchasing S-400 and operation in Syria
Baku / 14.12.19 / Turan: US Senate resolution will interfere with Armenian-Turkish dialogue, Turkish MP from the ruling Justice and Development Party Markar Yesayan said.
“The resolution on the genocide, which has not been accepted for decades, was adopted to punish the S-400 (acquisition of Russian air defense systems - note. Ed.) and operation in Syria. This has nothing to do with history or reality. This step only interferes with the dialogue. "This is probably what is desired. So the wound will always bleed, which will become a feast for vampires," Yesayan wrote on his microblog on Twitter.
The US Senate resolution of December 12 (S.Res.150) states the refusal to deny the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire in 1915; official recognition of the genocide by the US government and commemoration of the victims; informing on the Armenian Genocide in order to prevent similar crimes in the future. In addition, the document calls to prevent attempts to involve the US authorities or to associate them with the denial of the Armenian genocide or any other genocide.-02D-
