The Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov held a service meeting on Saturday with the deputy ministers, commanders of the Armed Forces and all branches of the military, as well as the commanders of large formations.
As the Defense Ministry press service said, during the meeting the results of the military operations occurred as a result of the provocations of the Armenian Armed Forces in early April were analyzed and concrete tasks and recommendations were given.
Hasanov said the Azerbaijani army succeeded in the recent hostilities. "We liberated and took control of strategic heights, thus ensuring complete safety of the settlements located along the front line. Along with this, we always have to be ready to respond to the enemy's provocations," Hasanov said.
According to him, in the course of the fighting the experience of the national Armed Forces was enhanced and the spirit of the personnel further strengthened.
After the Minister's speech, the relevant decrees of the President and orders of the Minister were presented to award a group of servicemen most distinguished in the fighting in early April. -06D-
