Baku/08.01.23/Turan: First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva posted a greeting card to the Christian community of Azerbaijan on the occasion of Christmas on her Instagram page.
“I sincerely congratulate the Christian community of Azerbaijan on the occasion of Christmas, and wish all our compatriots the best of health and happiness!” reads the text in Azerbaijani on a postcard with golden Orthodox church domes.
On this occasion of Christmas on the night of January 6-7, solemn services were held in all Orthodox churches of Azerbaijan.
The Feast of the Nativity of Christ on the night of January 6-7 was celebrated by Russian, Ukrainian, Jerusalem, Serbian and Georgian Orthodox Churches, Athos monasteries, as well as Eastern Rite Catholics and some Protestants adhering to the Julian calendar.—0—

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported.
