Baku/17.10.23/Turan: The number of Azerbaijani natives killed in Israel after the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on October 7 and the ongoing war has reached 8 people. This was announced on Tuesday by the press secretary of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Ayhan Hajizade. It is not yet known whether there are natives of Azerbaijan among the hostages taken, he continued.
Names of the victims are as follows: Shamil Abbasov (citizen of Israel), Emin Akhundov (citizen of Israel and Azerbaijan), Ilkin Nazarov (dual citizenship), Lior Azizov (citizen of Israel), Roman Gandel (citizen of Israel). Eden Abdullaev (citizen of Israel), Emil Samuelov (citizen of Israel), Zhiar Davidov (citizen of Israel). According to open sources, some of them were military, some worked in the police.
According to Hajizade, there are no plans to evacuate Azerbaijani citizens from Israel. "Those who want to leave the country can use regular flights," he said.
