Prosecutor General's Offices of Russia and Azerbaijan signed a statement of intent
Baku/10.04.21/Turan: The Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan has disseminated information about the visit of a delegation headed by the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov to Baku on April 8.
The report contains no information on the return of the captured Armenian saboteurs, which was assumed by the publics of Azerbaijan and Armenia. During the visit, rumors the social networks of the two countries spread rumors that Krasnov had arrived from Yerevan to Baku to solve the problem of prisoners.
However, according to the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan, during the official meeting in Baku, "a useful exchange of views on cooperation in the fight against crime took place, the effectiveness of interaction within the framework of international organizations, the improvement of the existing contractual framework in the field of legal cooperation was discussed, issues of legal assistance on specific criminal cases, as well as extradition of persons who have committed crimes, and other issues" were discussed.
Prosecutors General Igor Krasnov and Kamran Aliyev, in order to intensify ties, signed a statement of intent "On the development of cooperation between the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation."
The Armenians claim that in Azerbaijan, according to the lists of various sources, there are from 60 to 200 Armenian prisoners of war. The Azerbaijani side has repeatedly announced the arrest of saboteurs who do not fall under the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War. — 0—

On November 15, animal rights activist Kamran Mammadli was detained while staging a protest at the COP29 climate conference. Mammadli was protesting the shooting of street dogs in Azerbaijan. He raised a sign above his head that read: "Azerbaijani authorities are shooting dogs on the streets!" He also shouted: "Resign those who teach youth to be sycophants under the guise of volunteerism!"
