Baku/10.04.21/Turan: The Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AQTA) has begun video monitoring in order to convince the specialists of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of the Russian Federation (Rosselkhoznadzor) that tomatoes grown in the greenhouses of Azerbaijan are safe and not harmful to health, reported AQTA.

On April 5-8, Rosselkhoznadzor experts were acquainted with the total area of ​​tomato farms in Azerbaijan, the cultivated variety, the expected production, the light and thermal regime of the greenhouse, and the implemented plant protection measures via video link. Answers were given to the questions of Russian specialists, the selected samples of plants and fruits were packed in bags for testing in the corresponding laboratories of the Russian side.

According to AQTA, video monitoring was carried out in 10 farms of Apsheron, Salyan, Shamkir, and Samukh regions.

Joint video monitoring carried out by AQTA and a working group of experts from the Russian Federation will continue in greenhouses located in other regions. — 0—
