The acceptance of the Gabala radar station will begin after Russia removes their equipment, a spokesman for the Defense Ministry Eldar Sabiroglu told journalists.
He repeated Baku’s well-known position that Azerbaijan supported Russia to continue renting the radar. However, Russia did not agree to the proposed increase in the fee for the use of the radar.
According to him, there will be continued cooperation in the defense sector between Azerbaijan and Russia.
As for the future of the radar, Sabiroglu did not rule out that the facility be turned into a resort area to develop tourism in the coming years. -26C04-
