Washington on Meeting of Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia
US State Department spokesman John Kirby said the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia demonstrate political will to move beyond the status quo of the Karabakh conflict.
At the traditional briefing at the State Department Kirby said that the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia undertook to respect the ceasefire, to start important confidence-building measures and negotiations next month, which could lead to a comprehensive settlement.
According to him, the heads of state have demonstrated the political will to move beyond the status quo and to take measures that may benefit all the people living in the region. Kirby said the United States, for its part, will be ready to help them in this regard. -0-
