Turan: Some time before the presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey, you wrote "Erdoğan must win". What recommendations would you like to make to your fellow student from the university, Mr. Erdoğan, to implement without delay?
Sadi: Before the elections, I wrote "Erdogan must win". He knows better than I what things need to be done soon. The statistical figures and the details of the working of the mechanism are in his hands. I can share with readers what I observed from afar, and I think he will do the same:
- He should find a solution to improve the people's welfare and increase the purchasing power of the population. Nobody can run a country if people are hungry. People's trust in Erdoğan will definitely help him. However, he knows well that hunger is not very patient.
- He will never hesitate to take the necessary measures to revive the economy. There is no limit to the economic power and potential of Turkey I know. The fact that we know how the money that has dwindled or disappeared from the economic system over the years doesn't help. However, as a result of the good state of the economy, we also see that the money withdrawn from the economic system for years cannot and will not collapse this country. The store is working well, there are goods, but not everyone should reach out for the cash register of the store. The main issue is the correct distribution of the country's profits. If the head of state can do this, there will be no problem.
- The currently implemented "Getting along with neighbors" policy should be appreciated and we should consider it the right line. The "Hey Germany, Hey Holland" policy of the past has been replaced with dialogue and consensus. In the near future, "Esed" is also a candidate to become "Esad". Relations with Iran are also at a promising level. Although the Iran-Azerbaijan and Iran-Israel relations are strained, in my opinion, Turkey's relations with Iran should be a hope for both Azerbaijan and Israel. Turkey is the only country that can mediate in the normalization of relations between Israel and Azerbaijan, two allied countries, and Iran. At the same time, Turkey needs to be more active in the Israel-Palestine issue. If we are talking about things that benefit Palestine, Turkey should be included in these processes.
- We need to know that the relations with the USA and EU countries are also related to the relations with the People's Republic of China and Iran, and I am sure that Mr. Erdoğan has analyzed all this very well. Of course, what I have written is an overview, we will be able to provide more accurate analyzes after knowing the details.
Turan: You are one of the main people working hard for the development of relations between Turkey and Israel in an atmosphere of peace and cooperation. Can we get your ideas for the new era?
Sadi: I am hopeful about this. I hope that everything will be better. I would like to believe that I will not be mistaken. It is necessary to separate the Palestinian terrorists and the innocent people of Palestine and ensure that normal people live in peace and tranquility. I want to emphasize the need to resolve this through dialogues between Turkey and Israel. Although slowly, the processes are moving in the right direction.
Turan: Threats come from Iran, which supports the Hezbollah terrorist organization, to take effective measures against the actions of terrorist organizations targeting the state of Israel. Does Jerusalem take these threats seriously?
Sadi: Absolutely takes it seriously. Furthermore, it is not satisfied with knowing that Iran is the main supporter of terrorist organizations but clearly and firmly states that Iran bears the responsibility for terrorist actions. The issue of whether to intervene against these actions of Iran will be discussed at the government meeting on Sunday. Prime Minister Netanyahu's promise "We will not allow Iran to become a nuclear state" is still hanging in the air.
Turan: The Islamic Republic of Iran, which is among the countries worried about the development of Israel-Azerbaijani relations, has not only threatened Azerbaijan but is also strengthening its support to Armenia, which has occupied Azerbaijan's lands for a long time. What would you like to say about it?
Sadi: Since the processes are clearly ongoing, there is no need to comment. The Islamic Republic of Iran fears and worries about the existence of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the development of Israel-Azerbaijani relations worries Tehran more. As the probability of Israeli warplanes refueling from Azerbaijan and destroying Iran's nuclear facilities increases, Tehran's regime becomes more aggressive. I believe that Turkey has played a major role in preventing these processes that may lead to the start of the third world war. I think so, and I want to believe that Iran sees it as well. Although its economic situation is difficult at the moment, Turkey is superior to Iran in all conditions, and I believe that it will be able to have its word accepted in Tehran.
Turan: You mentioned the need for Turkey to support the Israel-Azerbaijan rapprochement against Iran's aggressiveness. Taking into account the situation after the elections in Turkey, what would you like to say about this?
Sadi: The issue is not related to who is ruling Turkey or not. Of course, countries are governed by leaders, but currently, intelligence agencies and security agencies in the world give direction to the country's administrators. That is, leaders cannot take steps that the army and intelligence do not allow. Despite all this, I will end this interview with my usual words: ACHIEVING PEACE ALWAYS COSTS A CHEAPER PRICE.
