12 opposition members subjected to administrative punishment
Baku/03.11.12/Turan Twelve participants pf the rotesting rally organized by the "Public Chamber" yesterday before the Parliament have been brought to administrative measures on charges of not obeying police. Five persons were fined, and 7 warned, the opposition says.
In addition, about 10 people were released shortly after the arrest.
Note that some of the activists were arrested in front of the parliament building. Other detainees were detained on Huseyn Javid avenue where they tried to march to go to Parliament.
MIA does not provide information on the number of detainees.
The event was held in connection with the adoption by the Parliament of amendments to the legislation providing for higher fines for participating in unsanctioned rallies in dozens of times. -06D -
