4 Azerbaijani citizens reported missing after earthquake found
Baku/11.02.23/Turan: The Azerbaijani Embassy in Turkey has located four Azerbaijani citizens whose fate was not known after the earthquake on February 6.
They found themselves in the return point in the city of Malatya, the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said. Embassy officials met with Safarov Fuad Ziya oglu, Askarov Hasangulu Elshad oglu, Garayev Nijat Zaur oglu and Veliyev Namaz Allahverdi oglu. The citizens stated that their state of health was normal.
The process of evacuation of Azerbaijani citizens and their family members, who are foreigners, from the disaster zone is ongoing. As of evening of 10 February, 438 people, including 58 children and 209 students, were evacuated by buses from Turkey.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, five citizens of Azerbaijan were killed as a result of the earthquake.
