Baku / 02.01.21/Turan: During the day, 421 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Azerbaijan, 3 645 people recovered and 33 died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on Saturday.
The total number of infected people in the country reached 219,462 people, of which 191,925 people recovered, and 2,703 died. Today, the number of active patients is 24,834. During the last 24 hours, 4,287 tests were performed. -0-

During search and operational activities, on January 30 at 11:20, 16.4 kg of drugs were discovered and seized in the area of the "Geytapa" border post, located on the Iran-Azerbaijan border. According to the Azerbaijan Border Service, this prevented an attempt to smuggle into Azerbaijan 11.3 kg of marijuana, 5.1 kg of opium, and 1,990 methadone M-40 pills from Iran.
