A calendar of religious festivals and prayer time is prepared

The meeting of the Board of Muslims of the Caucasus October 13, 2015 considered the question on establishing a common time of prayer - namaz  and religious holidays.

Sheikh Pashazade informed about the preparation of the calendar with the Shamakhi Observatory, which allowed to establish the prayer time with absolute precision. The  prayer time adjusted depending on the location of certain areas that should not be perceived as a violation of "religious unity."

Sheikh noted that  this question each time causes differences in the beginning and end of the holiday Fasting in the month of Ramadan. "This calendar will put an end to such differences,"  said the sheikh.

So, this year, the month of Muharram comes on 15 October, and the main mourning - Ashura will be on 24 October.

Then was  read Fatwa  of the Council of Qadis,  and it is  recommended not to  perform the ceremony Shakhs-Wachsey. Instead believers  are recommended to donate blood for the needy.

Religious leaders are  advised to clarify the true nature of these traditions and guide the believers on the right track. -05C-
