A group of people arrested for selling pirated textbooks
Baku / 01.08.18 / Turan: Law enforcement agencies arrested a group of people who smuggled pirated training and test aids, the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Examination Center said.
During the investigation it was established that Shahmar Abdullayev headed a group of seven people. A lawsuit has been filed on Aticles 197.2 (illegal use of trademarks and 206.4 (smuggling) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. In Baku, pirated textbooks and test compendiums for 510,000 manat were seized at several addresses, the report said.
At the same time, the law enforcement agencies do not say what kind of textbooks, from where they were imported, or where they were manufactured, and how they were sold.-02D-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
