AFFA fines "Khazar Lankaran" and "Neftchi"
Due to riots on August 25 in Lankaran region after a football match between the local teams "Khazar-Lankaran" and Baku team "Neftchi", disciplinary committee took the decision to punish both clubs.
For the mass indiscipline in the stands, the “Khazar-Lankaran” club was fined 5,000 manat, and 4,000 manat for the use of fireworks in the stands, and throwing various objects to the field.
In addition, "Khazar-Lankaran" will have to pay 1,000 manat for four yellow cards to his players.
Another 2,000 manat the club will pay for calling the announcer at the stadium to support their club.
Both clubs were fined 5,000 manat for low level of work with the fans.
The clubs have been warned that if this continues, they will hold the national championship and the cup games of the country with empty stands.
After the match "Khazar-Lankaran" - "Neftchi" fans rioted in the field and outside the stadium, set fire to seats in the stands. A lawsuit has been filed under the Article 221.3 (hooliganism committed by a group of people.) –16D06--

September 27 is commemorated as Remembrance Day in Azerbaijan. On that day, the 44-day Second Karabakh War began. The Azerbaijani Government stated that as a result of this war and the one-day military operation that followed, the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country were ensured.
