Another Absurdity of Municipality

On Wednesday, the leadership of the Baku Mayor's office headed by Hajibala Abutalibov arranged another "disaster" in the street Gurban Khalilov. Under the banner of improvement and expansion of the street, construction equipment brought by the Mayoralty destroyed the most beautiful park in this street in front of the apartment house number 5.

Moreover, it was not done in a most inhuman way, without warning and in a totally wild manner. Appearing at noon in front of the house, Hajibala Abutalibov waved his hand as a trooper, saying: "Start the demolition!"

The local residents asked them not to break the fence and just take it off, but this caused quite an inadequate reaction of the Mayor, who literally shouted: "Do I owe you the workers? Come and demolish it yourselves!”

Then the excavator began breaking steps to the neighboring house No. 3 in the same wild way.

Moving up and down the street, accompanied by his employees, Abutalibov shouted at someone on the phone: "Why do people live here? Nazim, do you not know that until 1 September I must have this place demolished? Evict these people and decide the issue of compensation."

Note that Gurban Khalilov Street connects the monument to N. Narimanov with the square in front of the Academy of Sciences. In the last week there are intensive works. However, expansion of the street does not apply to objects of high-ranking officials who have occupied half the street and surrounded it with metal bars.

Looking at all this manifestation of primitive behavior, such a natural question appears whether compensation will be paid for the damaged property and why the Mayor's office did not warn about the demolition of the fence in advance. -02B-
