Azerbaijani Climbers Conduct Training Sessions on Shahdag
The Azerbaijan Mountaineering Federation (AMF) plan to hold training camps on the country's highest peaks in the Shahdag mountainous region of Azerbaijan.
The training camp will be held from October 25 to November 4, 2012, attended by both experienced and young athletes, along with members of the Azerbaijani national team.
According to the AMF press service, the plan is to ascend the Bazaryurd (4,126 m), Gizil Gaya (3,751 m), and Tufandag (4,191 m) peaks..
The training camp will be attended by 24 athletes from the clubs Nikoil, Republican Climbing and Tourism Club, Irbis, and Gartal.
The training will be conducted under the guidance of experienced mountaineering instructors.
The AMF President, Sport Master, Israfil Ashurly will also participate in the training camp. -02D-
