Azerbaijani Football Clubs Hold Their First Matches of Playoffs of Europa League
The Azerbaijani football teams played the first matches of the playoffs of the Europa League.
Karabakh from Agdam lost the guest game with the Swedish Gothenburg 0: 1.
The only goal was scored by Mads Ahlbeck from a free kick at the 56th minute.
Gabala hosted Slovenian Maribor in Baku. The score was opened by the guests.
At the 17th minute of the first half-time Slovenian Damjan Bohar first managed to kick the ball repulsed by the host goalkeeper.
For some time Gabala's game went wrong. However, at the 37th minute the prolonged attack of the hosts finished with a goal scored by Sergei Zenjov.
At the beginning of the second half, at the 50th and 53rd minutes the French legionnaire for Gabala, Bagan Dabo, scored two goals and brought the score to 3: 1. Further, Gabala continued to attack, but no new goals were scored.
