Baku / 07/01/19 / Turan: The cold air masses that entered the territory of Azerbaijan on the 29-30th from the Black Sea brought heavy precipitation and strong wind.
According to the report of the Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Environment of the country, as a result, the air temperature dropped significantly, intense precipitation fell and a strong wind blew over a large part of Azerbaijan.
During the day, 23 mm of precipitation fell in the mountains of the Lesser Caucasus, which amounted to 37% of the monthly norm. In the low-lying areas and in the Greater Caucasus, precipitation was two times less.
The speed of the western wind in Naftalan was 32 meters per second, in Mingechevir 28, in Ganja - 24, and in Absheron 28 meters per second. The squall wind broke 15 trees in Baku, which damaged two cars.
On July 1, short-term precipitation is expected in Baku and Absheron, the strong north wind will continue, but will weaken by evening.
The air temperature will be + 23 + 26 degrees during the day.
In areas of the country it will continue to rain with thunderstorms. In low-lying areas, the air temperature will be + 25 + 30 degrees, and in the mountains it will be + 18 + 23 degrees. -02D-

On Tuesday, rainy weather with thunderstorms and moderate northwest wind is expected in the Baku, according to meteorologists. The rainy weather will continue untill Wednesday evening. The air temperature at night will be +7 to +10°C, and during the day, +11 to +13°C. The humidity will be 80-90% at night and 70-80% during the day. Rain with thunderstorms will also affect other parts of the country. Snow is expected in mountainous areas. There will be fog in places, with westerly winds.
