Defense Ministry holds Board meeting in the frontal zone
February 6, in one of the units on the front line an extended Board meeting of the Ministry of Defense was held.
According to the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan, the meeting was attended by Deputy Defense Ministers, commanders of the troops, the chiefs of departments of the Ministry of Defense, commanders and chiefs of staff. The Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov presided over the meeting that considered the issues of military construction, reforms in the army, military training, support of the armed forces and other issues.
The commanders were mandated in the short term to improve the situation in the frontal zone and to take the necessary measures to improve the combat readiness of the troops. -03D-

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony. The invitation, delivered by Member of the European Parliament Michael Bloss at the COP29 climate conference, comes as Ibadoglu remains under house arrest and prohibited from leaving Azerbaijan.
