Distribution of Newspapers as Protest
Protest against the ban on the sale of newspapers in the subway was held Thursday in front of the metro station Elmler Akademiyasi. According to Turan's reports from the scene, the founder of the newspaper Gundem Khabar, Shirin Jafari, and several employees of the newspaper were handing out copies of the newspaper.
Then the protesters went to the office of the head of Metro Tagi Akhmedov, demanding a meeting with him. But the meeting never took place and the protesters were asked to submit their complaints in writing.
According to Shirin Jafari, Tagi Akhmedov was submitted letters of complaint many a time, but he never responded. According to him, the ban on the sale of newspapers is an order, because this newspaper published criticism of corruption.
Earlier, the government banned the sale of the newspapers Azadlig, Yeni Musavat and Gundem Khabar in the subway. -16/03D-
