Driver Who Knocked Down Two Cyclists Arrested
Baku / 11.08.17 / Turan: Nijat Guliyev, the driver of the car Kia Cadenza with state license plates 10-XZ-040, who knocked down two bicyclists in the Garadagh district of Baku on the evening of August 8, has been arrested.
As a result of the road accident, 25-year-old cyclist Azer Abdullayev died at the scene. Another cyclist Fidan Rustamova with various injuries was placed in the city clinical center.
A criminal case was opened on the fact in the Garadagh district police on article 263.2 (violation of traffic rules, which resulted in the death of the victim), the Baku Police Department and the Baku Prosecutor's Office said. With respect to Guliyev, a measure of restraint was chosen in the form of arrest. The necessary investigative measures are continuing, the press release says. -06D--
