Earthquake in Dagestan and Azerbaijan
Baku/02.01.20/Turan: An earthquake in Dagestan, with a force of 3-4 points was felt even on the border territory of Azerbaijan, the Dagestan Republican Center of Seismological Service reports, Sputnik reports.
"Today at 05:05 local time, an earthquake occurred on the territory of the Republic of Dagestan (RF). An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 occurred at a depth of 10 km," the message says.
An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 happened in Dagestan, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) said earlier.
The earthquake was recorded at 01.05 UTC (04.05 Moscow time). The epicenter of the tremors was located 21 kilometers north-west of the city of Dagestan Lights and 12 kilometers north-west of Derbent. The hearth lay at a depth of 10 kilometers. No casualties were reported.-0-
