Baku/03.07.17/Turan: The editor of the site "BakuPost" (bakupost.az) detained on Saturday, Elchin Zahirolu, was released on Monday, his friends wrote in social networks. The journalist himself on Facebook also wrote: "I'm already at large." On June 1, he was detained by officers of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. It was reported that he was detained on the complaint of an entrepreneur - Habib Akhundov, the son of the MP Elmira Akhundova. According to unofficial data, the editor extorted money from him, blackmailing the publication of compromising material. Zahiroglu is the nephew of the leader of the Civic Solidarity Party, ex-MP Sabir Rustamkhanli. The attempts to get an official comment in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as from Zahiroglu were futile.-06D-
