Employee of Canal 13 Declares Pressure from Police
Baku / 30.10.18 / Turan: Ismail Islamoglu, a Canal 13 employee who disappeared on October 26, said last night that he had been at the police station all this time.
Late on October 29, he published a video message: (https://web.facebook.com/ismayil.islamoglu/videos/894714337404957/) The journalist said he had undergone psychological and physical pressure at the Baku Police Headquarters.
He reported that he was detained on October 26 in the evening by two people in civilian clothes. He was brought to the Baku Police Headquarters and kept in the Criminal Investigation Department.
"I was kept on my feet for hours, they didn't give me food and water, they beat and insulted me. They threatened not only me, but also my relatives, ordering them to be silent," said Islamoglu.
He called two officers of the Baku Police, who interrogated him, as Fazil and Niyameddin Gasimov.
From the words of Islamoglu it follows that the pressure was exerted due to his publications on social networks on the Internet, and they demanded that he stop critical materials.
Recall that on July 27, Islamoglu was already detained by the police, where he was warned about the inadmissibility of critical writings about the Heat festival and the invitation of the singer Zara Mgoyan to this event. -03B06-
