The main entrance to the metro station 28 May was opened for passengers on May 5. The report attributed the opening to the European Games.
The entrance was closed for renovation on July 1, 2013. All the works were completed more than six months ago, but the entrance was not opened. Passengers were forced to walk almost a kilometer to get to the platform.

During search and operational activities, on January 30 at 11:20, 16.4 kg of drugs were discovered and seized in the area of the "Geytapa" border post, located on the Iran-Azerbaijan border. According to the Azerbaijan Border Service, this prevented an attempt to smuggle into Azerbaijan 11.3 kg of marijuana, 5.1 kg of opium, and 1,990 methadone M-40 pills from Iran.
