Iranian Foreign Ministry on the release of Azerbaijani Writers
Spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ramin Mehmanparast, made a statement on the release of two Azerbaijani writers.
According to the Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan, Mehmanparast said that two citizens of Azerbaijan, were arrested during a visit to Iran "for an unconventional contacts." He did not say whom they contacted.
Taking into account the appeals of the official Baku and friendly relations between the two countries, on September 4 Azerbaijani citizens were passed to the Azerbaijani consulate in Tabriz, he said. -02D-
