Journalist Fikret Huseynli Detained in Kiev
Baku / 10/14/17 / Turan: The Azeri opposition journalist Fikret Huseynli, who is in political emigration in the Netherlands, was detained on his arrival in Kiev at the Boryspil airport today.
He managed to tell by phone that he was detained at the request of Azerbaijan to Interpol, www.azadliq.info reported. However, he does not know the essence of the charges brought against him.
It is noteworthy that Huseynli has already obtained Dutch citizenship and cooperates with the oppositional TV channel Turan TV broadcasting from abroad.
Huseynli left Azerbaijan 10 years ago, after being abducted and severely beaten. The kidnappers were not found. -06D-
